Carlos Cerrato

Artist on VibrantCast

Carlos Cerrato's art is an examination of otherworldly buildings and formations that create densely packed worlds that seem to be from another dimension. He finds inspiration for his art in architecture from around the world. He also repurposes forms of mass communication into architecture and other objects. Different alphabets from around the world, ideograms, hieroglyphics, and even Morse code and braille inform many of his works, along with 1950s-1980s Sci-Fi art. Geysers, waterfalls, volcanos and various natural hydrological features also figure into his paintings and drawings.
