Erick Ontiveros

Artist on VibrantCast

Erick is a Chicago-based artist who fell in love with art at the early age of 10 while creating book reports for school and finding ways to express stories with images instead of essays. He grew up watching his favorite street artists bring street art culture indoors in what they called blackbooks (a collection of graffiti sketches in a drawing pad). The color blend and flow of the graffiti were what he found most captivating. After years of experimenting with different styles, mediums, and colors, his art started taking shape and moving toward a direction of controlled chaos. By giving the pieces flow through the canvas, his style has become a product of early graffiti influences, fine art quality, and the influential artists/designers he has admired. Every piece counts toward the body of work you see today. Website: www.vividbrick.com Instagram: erickonti10
