Artist on VibrantCast

I specialize in ink paintings rendered with Chinese calligraphy brushes, often featuring plants and stark, dreamy backgrounds. In my fine art practice, I intend to communicate the myriad of subtle emotions that I experience while navigating through the beauty and overwhelm of life. It’s my greatest joy to know that other people also resonate with what I make. My works take inspiration from a vast pool of influences, including medieval etchings, Japanese ink paintings, scientific illustrations, cinematography, Art Nouveau, and the work of Robert McCloskey. I’ve been a working artist since 2017 and have taken on a wide variety of projects during those eight years, including a number of private commissions, a performance art piece at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and my first solo art show at Art City in 2024.
