PJ Hiller

Artist on VibrantCast

PJ Hiller developed an eye for imagery through her love of travel and photography over the decades. Her passion for transforming those images into art emerged at the dawn of this decade. What began with drawing portraits quickly evolved into representing more of the exterior world around us with the use of pastels. More recently, PJ's exploration with PanPastels has led her into integrate encaustic wax due to its versatility in texture, shine, and sparkle—qualities that can't be achieved strictly with photography or most other art forms. PJ Hiller was thrilled to present her first painting at Evanston Art Center's 2021 Student Expo. Since then, she has been showcasing and selling award-winning art across Northern Illinois and SE Wisconsin, with exhibitions at Volo Bog State Nature Preserve, Dole Mansion, Blue Moon Gallery, Chicago Culture Center, Elmhurst Art Museum and the Museum of Encaustic Art in New Mexico.
