Shannon Alexis

Artist on VibrantCast

Shannon Alexis is a Chicago-based artist whose work is rooted in street art and shaped by personal experience. With a background in painting, drawing, photography, and graphic design, she specializes in mixed media—drawn to its ability to challenge, surprise, and push creative boundaries. Art has been Shannon’s passion since the moment she could hold a crayon. After years of formal art education, she shifted focus in her twenties to pursue a career in the restaurant industry. But in 2020, she returned to her craft with renewed purpose. Since then, her work has continued to evolve—bold, expressive, and unapologetically honest, much like the city she calls home. Shannon believes art should make you feel something—even if you’re not sure what at first. Joy, tension, nostalgia, rebellion. Sometimes all at once.
