Tod Schnowske

Artist on VibrantCast

Artist Biography & Statement: Using a tactile blend of oil paints, upholstery fabrics, epoxy, and original photography, multimedia artist Tod Schnowske creates striking, original works on handcrafted canvas panels. He personally builds each piece from the ground up, moving seamlessly from large-scale painting to the custom curation of refurbished, eclectic frames. Tod’s controlled, abstract style focuses heavily on color and fluid movement. While his physical process is deeply structured and material-driven, the final emotional intent delivers a sense of ease, grace, and raw beauty. This meticulous approach culminates in a rich, sculptural presence that bursts with vivid color. Because this physical depth cannot be replicated digitally, a live setting remains the ideal way to fully experience his work.
