Temptation and the Fish
by Holly Hutto
$125
Acrylic on wood panel. This piece is an exploration of the theme of temptation. In it's simplest interpretation, the snake and apple are the symbols of temptation from the Garden of Eden, while the fish is an early symbol of Christianity--faith providing redemption for original sin. However, the snake can also be a symbol for rebirth or the Goddess, while the fish is also a symbol for the unconscious or happiness.
