8e-waste
by Dan Eller
$1,800
8e-waste features a shovel in concrete digging up electronic (e) waste from the 1980's. The piece includes iconic electronic gadgets that were popular in the 1980's, such as a Motorola brick cell phone, small tube tv, Walkman, Nintendo Gameboy, floppy disk, polaroid camera, apple keyboard and mouse and more. The piece is meant to remind you of a different world where electronics were simple and fun. It also highlights the problem of electronic waste in the environment. Despite being buried for over 40 years, the electronics have yet to decompose. Sculpture, 2024
