Alcohol Ink, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, & Glycerin, blown on a white substrate in a 11x14 black mat & frame Many years ago as a young child when Autumn took its toll on the trees, my father would rake the leaves and broken twigs out onto the city street along the curb, creating a huge pile. He would then hand me the rake and a few stick matches. The brick street was perfect material for lighting matches. The rake was used not only to retain the burning leaves if the wind kicked up but also to ward off the neighborhood kids if they got too close to the flames. I was 8 years old the first year he let me do this task unsupervised. I loved the campfire aroma burning leaves emitted. That was a lifetime ago yet to this day the smells of a wood-burning fireplace flood me with nostalgic memories of long ago. note: Do NOT display or place in direct sunlight
