This textured painting, "Tempus Fugit – Time Flies," explores the ephemeral nature of existence through symbolic imagery and a cosmic backdrop. The floating hourglass, suspended in an abstract, celestial expanse, signifies the relentless passage of time—its grains slipping away like stars dissolving into the void. The swirling, surreal forms add a dreamlike quality, evoking reflections on memory, destiny, and the vast unknown. The textured elements enhance the artwork’s depth, allowing light to interact with the surface, creating a dynamic visual experience. Inspired by Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism, the piece blends fluid movement with structured symbolism, reminiscent of Salvador Dalí’s exploration of time and space. The dark cosmic tones juxtaposed with vibrant details invite contemplation on time’s unstoppable momentum and the universe’s grand scale.
