In 'Well Yes!' I explore the relationship between text and personal expression in reference to social media and digital interactions. Using oil paint on canvas, I cement a single image that might otherwise be lost in the cacophony of images we see online. With a tight focus on the teeth, I emphasize an ambiguous expression that could be read as either a broad smile or a snarl, while the text reads as sardonic with the attached question mark. This piece depicts the nuanced digital interactions and social posturing we submit ourselves to on a daily basis.
