My Face is Given By God
by Thye DeForest
$1,200
‘My Face is Given By God’ is an oil on canvas piece comprised solely of pictures of myself and my body. Online, we are compelled to share ourselves and our bodies with friends and strangers without second thought. Much of my work interrogates my relationship with the omnipresent stream of strangers’ bodies, whereas this piece turns that lens onto my own, and examines the intricacies of the self as both the creator of and distorted object within the work.
