Acrylic on wood. In Greek mythology, Psyche was the goddess of the soul and wife of Eros, the god of love. Psyche is usually portrayed with butterfly wings, a symbol of the transformation and flight of the soul. The Greek word "psyche" meant both soul and butterfly.
