I took an oil painting class with the most wonderful teacher (Bob) who was so patient and knew how to inspire and bring out buried fear and talent. He helped me say I'm an "Artist" and I'm proud of myself. I spent many hours of a year doing and redoing many small paintings. Then I finally decided to be more serious and paint something I would like to be proud of. I found the picture I wanted to paint and worked another year focusing on how to see light, color and dimension. I wanted to make oil painting suit my mind's eye and make me (& Bob) proud of my Art. I feel good about my efforts, it gives me peace and tranquility. Bob was proud off me too. He gave me freedom to be the Artist I am. I think of those years of classes and Bob with great love and happiness. The piece is painted in oil on canvas 12" x 16" and framed.
