Who Cares?

This oil painting served as an experiment as to whether emotion could be expressed within an abstracted face. With only the eyes in sort of a deapan stare, the effect is one of dissociation and a sort of separation from reality. I tend to use red along with organic shapes and brushstrokes to allude to flesh or muscle which ultimately control our expressions.
