Harmony of Dreams
by Zdenek Nerada
$200
The painting portrays a dreamscape filled with symbolic objects that invite introspection. A large harp with strings extends toward a figure resembling a woman, her hair flowing as though swept by an unseen breeze, symbolizing grace and creativity. The foreground features two oversized hands — one reaching upward as if to grasp something ethereal, and the other emerging from the sand, adding a sense of depth and movement. Scattered around are objects such as a chessboard, an hourglass, old-fashioned telephones, musical instruments, and melting clocks — all symbols of time, communication, and nostalgia. The warm, earthy tones of the sky and desert evoke a sense of surreal timelessness, blending the boundaries between reality and memory. This piece, with its intricate detail and symbolic elements, seems to explore themes of time, memory, and the passage of life, capturing a world that exists somewhere between imagination and reality. Frame inlcuded.
