Expanding Forces

Medium: Painting Materials: Acrylic on Canvas Style/Subject Matter: Organic Flow Abstraction Technique: Arcylic applied by brushes and paint pens on canvas This piece represents an urge. A deep, driving pulse. In your veins and in your soul. Out into our world, out into worlds beyond. I have an endless itch. To cover space with forms and colors and swirls. Every blank needs be filled. Every detail begs to be brought to life. Though no one may ever see it again, it will exist. I mourn the details that are left out. A line to the left that just as easily could have been a curve to the right. A circle taking the place of a teardrop. If I don't draw it now, I never will. If I don't draw it now, no one ever will. Suddenly these meaningless squiggles and shapes seem so much more important. They drift in their own eternal universe. Breathing, swirling, changing. I hope to capture them as they are. In one given moment. A moment that will never be seen again. My painting spills off the borders of this canvas and onto the edges. If you let your mind loose, you may be able to glimpse it expanding further. Off into eternity. Engulfing everything.
