Joanna Strange and Miss Norrell
by Jane Thorn
$1,800
Oil on mirror, surrealism/fantasy, 2024. Based on the novel Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, this work depicts the artist as gender-flipped versions of both main characters. Tall, charismatic Mrs Strange stands over pinched, suspicious Miss Norrell in a story where mirrors can be walked through and all the world can be swapped for a reflection in a puddle.
