Originally this was a commission for a client whose favorite basketball player was Allen Iverson. Now, for sale, while I was painting this piece it peaked my interest. I learned more about SLAM magazines and the impact that they have on the basketball community. SLAM magazines have been a staple to represent basketball, street-wear clothing and hip-hop. Each issue looks at the player behind the game and more in depth and this issue features Allen Iverson. Iverson has been a staple when it comes to basketball and has created a legacy that will be remembered for a lifetime. Acrylic on Canvas (2023)
