Nobody Speak Nothing To See

I have been ignited by the unfortunate situation happening in the other side of the world. I don't consider myself a political or activist artist but something led me to paint this. I'm a father of a beautiful little girl, she and her mother are my world. I've become so much more sensitive to the thought of losing my loved ones. Seeing reading hearing about all the lives being lost over opposing religious beliefs, lands and governments/extremist regimes. The thought of it all is heartbreaking. The imagery: I painted a Palestinian mother tearfully holding her child. A few phrases around "it's all a game" "thoughts & prayers" "just numbers" and "its a big club and we ain't in it" The concept: I painted the piece only using hi-gloss white and flat white. The idea, is from a distance the observer just sees a plane canvas. As you get closer you can understand that there is an image there. But not until you get closer and look at it from different angles letting light hit certain points can you see what is going on. Look at life a different way try to understand or just ignore it like a plane white wall.
