Last September I lost this dear artist friend who had a studio 2 doors away from mine. Rod died suddenly from Cardiac Arrest and I was so saddened by this loss. Every picture posted of Rod that I saw after his passing showed him serious and non-smiling which seems to be the fad these days. Rod was fantastic and his smile was the best so I chose to create this painting of him smiling. I decided to submit this piece so Rod could be where he loved .... in a gallery surrounded by art.
