Both Untitled pieces show fragmented bodies cut by geometric shapes and flat color. Untitled 1 and 2 take on multiple stories in my head. One is to look at them as a puzzle; who fits where, are there pieces missing and what is the final outcome going to be? Questions we can ask ourselves when dating, loving or being in a partnership. There is always contemplation, questioning and desire to matters of the heart. The second was I see these pieces are as intersections. Colors cutting, bodies converging and paths being crossed. There are unexpected engagements in our lives that take us in new directions or stop us in our path. This can be uncomfortable, but the journey into the unknown, unraveling ourselves and allowing growth and exploration is a beautiful part of the human experience.
