$350
A framed; mixed media, acrylic and spray paint on a vintage Chicago map. The title “Chicago Life” perfectly captures the dynamic energy and layered symbolism of the piece. The combination of vibrant spray paint, cultural symbols, and the vintage map hints at the city’s complexity, blending its rich history with the ever-evolving urban experience. The bright colors and bold imagery suggest a celebration of life while acknowledging the challenges and stories that make Chicago unique. It feels like a map of human experience layered onto a physical place — Chicago not just as streets and neighborhoods, but as emotions, pop culture, struggles, and dreams. It’s personal, chaotic in a good way, and captures the spirit of a living city.
