This oil painting was inspired by a live band I saw playing in New Orleans about 8 years ago. This band had so many people out of their seats dancing, the energy in the room was contagious as soon as you walked in the door. I felt like this dark and moody scene that was actually so energetic and fun was so remeniscent of New Orleans music scene as well as the city itself.
