Strictly Ballroom

I love color, movement and people interacting with each other in my paintings. What better way to portray this than a Ballroom Dancing scene. I also like to incorporate a story into my art, either one that is in my mind or better yet to inspire a story within the observer. When I began this painting I remembered a wonderful movie I saw years ago, Strictly Ballroom. It was about a couple not satisfied with Dance steps considered “Strictly Ballroom” and exploded onto the dance floor with their Paso Doble. This is my result. Acrylic on Canvas
