I was inspired to create this painting a few years ago while I was working as a sushi instructor and a sip-n-paint instructor for a small events company. I noticed the unique design of the Chicago flag, and made the stars align! I created a digital image, and then put it on hold, and finally painted it with acrylic on canvas last year.
