Intertwined Perception

This painting serves as a visual representation of both external reality and internal reality intertwining. I made this painting in 2023, and I wanted to capture the feeling of getting lost in your thoughts, the feeling of getting caught between both observing your surroundings and slipping into your own inner world. The one thing I love most about trains is this collective daydream that is done within the train car, I love the idea of how everyone has their own story, their own inner world, their own destination they are heading to, their own reason for being on the train. Some may be stressed, some sad, excited, nervous, or contemplative. We all have our own perceptions of reality, and it is in the train car where those perceptions all intertwine as we all ride the train together. The train is alive with the energy of the passengers minds. Personally, I get very contemplative while riding the train, diving deep into my imagination and the thoughts that linger in my mind. It is a place where I can observe both the external reality around me, and the inner reality within me. Acrylic on Canvas Dimension: 40" x 30"
