The World Inside my Dreams

I made this painting back in 2021, and it serves as a collection of different memories that came from my dreams all put together into one reality. I am utterly fascinated with the concept of dreaming, why do we dream? What do our dreams mean? I love to wake up and reflect on my past dreams that I had that night. In this painting, I took various symbols and visions from different dreams I’ve had over the years, dreams that really stood out to me for one reason or another. I took these symbols and placed them into one singular environment, reflecting what a dream world looks like to me. The anchor of this painting is a dog, which is actually my childhood dog Hailey. She passed away in 2020, and since then I have had lots of dreams where we are going on adventures together, where I turn around and she's always there, with a smile on her face, so excited to be reunited. This is the aspect of dreaming that I love the most, you can reunite with your loved ones in this liminal space where anything is possible. This painting is available for purchase.
