I made this while thinking about the rise of authoritarian power and the ways that a populations displeasure can be manipulated through propaganda scapegoats and creating a narrative that offers seemingly clear enemies and an ever-receding horizon of opposition that requires consolidating power. Todays propaganda seems to induce a mild psychosis, bordering on schizophrenic where oppositional beliefs are held simultaneously. I think a lot about complicity, the ways our society function and the ways it has been built often unjustly at the expense of groups the powers that be have othered.
