Give Me Heaven When I Die - Son Thomas
by Debeza Art Studio
$550
Completed in 2023, this painting depicts the legendary bluesman and folk sculptor, Son Thomas. Thomas' music is the epitome of Mississippi Delta Blues, and he traveled widely throughout the state performing at clubs, colleges, juke joints, and private parties. By the 1960s he had made a few successful recordings which allowed him the opportunities to travel and perform throughout Europe. He is also the father of Pat Thomas, one of few living Bluesmen still performing in Leland, MS. This painting is acrylic on stretched canvas.
