Taking Off

This piece started with the goal to learn something new, but it mostly serves as a reflection on this art series. I learned to create transparent materials in my 3D software and started this piece by making the floating crystal. From there, I combined some of my favorite elements of my past pieces and made them into something new. For example, the key inside of the crystal is a variation of the one in my first piece of this series, “Youth”. To me, “Taking Off” represents my confidence in my artistic abilities and style. I have a lot to learn, but I also have a lot to be proud of.
