Dating in our 20's can feel like a trainwreck. "Something's Fishy" was born to showcase the gag of my dating experiences. While some restaurants pair a brie with a pinot noir, I have chosen to pair expensive fish with cheap, silly, gag gifts: pairing expensive nigiri with a $3 whoopie cushion and a pack of googly eyes (thrown in for free!). It's comical, how I have run into situations throughout my dating experience that have started with an expensive meal and, miraculously, felt cheapened by the experience at the end. There have been many times I have sat in a restaurant and avoided the temptation to look around me as if I was on some big prank show, where are the cameras? Is anyone else hearing what's going on here? "Somethings Fishy" was created to emulate the experience of modern dating, to show the contrast that lies within expensive dinners and the cheap gag of conversation (and or lack thereof). But hey, it's what we put ourselves through for love, right?
